The VeRy L-o-v-e of Spring…♡

Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea.  I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a cup of tea. …♡

I love tulips.  This adorable tulip teacup came from a tearoom in Redmond, Oregon. That particular visit, had marked  my 37th Tearoom.  Amazing! And what is even more amazing….that afternoon was nearly 25 years ago.♡

There have been many “Springtimes” since then. Many happy new BeGiNnInGs and a few bittersweet EnDiNgS. I do love the Springtime. It reminds me that we can always BeGiN again. And when we begin again… there’s “HoPe”.

In the garden, it’s exciting to watch, and see things coming up again.

Plants that you’ve had for many years. It’s like seeing an old friend.♡

These are my poinsettias from December.  They are still flowering….♡ Isn’t that extra-ordinary!

In the summer I plant Hollyhocks, Foxgloves, and then Delphinium. ♡

We have felt Springtime here in Southern California for quite a while, and so every possible hour has been spent in the garden. It gives me such satisfaction…. I’m always finding SoMeThInG to do.♡

I’ve had a clear vision for how I thought the garden should look. At the nursery they say, “Can we help you?” “No!” (Grin) I know just what I want – or don’t want. It takes lots of work, and patience to create. ..♡ Psssst…Can I tell you a secret♡ some people call this a Cottage garden, but really it’s just a good MeSsY GaRdEn. It’s not like painting— I just stick the plants in. I love large quantities of BlOoMs all jumbled together.  Guess what? I have a GaRdEn piggy bank….and when it’s filled, I spend it ALL on a variety of flowers…. I enjoy creating a SpLaSh.♡

I’m wondering if you love Springtime too…I have a feeling you do. ..♡
I’m so glad you stopped by today… and that we were able to CeLeBrAtE a little SpRiNg together.♡ I hope you enjoyed your visit. Have a lovely week my friend.♡
Xoxo. ..

Oh, and I must share a peek of my little flower garden here on the Oregon Coast. It’s still raining …and most likely will be through April. (That’s what many of the locals tell me)
I did not plant these pretty things. They just magically appeared a few days ago.

    Hello Marcia,
Thanks for sharing your lovely garden… I do like a garden that is not planned and is more wild… in a lovely kind of way… Spring is just around the corner and the little plants in the garden are starting to wake up here. I planted some heirloom sweet peas which are my favorite. They are not blooming yet but they are starting to trail along the garden picket fence. Last year the gardener raked them out and I was so upset. He thought they were weeds. Well, that gardener did not last long!! I plant my own plants since I too like to place them here and there… Well, I am off to do some more packing. Hubby and I are taking a trip and are leaving next week. I will be looking out for all of your posts… Have a wonderful day.. and thanks again for sharing a peep into your life along the beautiful Oregon Coast.. I so enjoy it and look forward to it..
    Blessings, Jane

Spring is my favorite time of year in Oregon. It feels so good to garden and get outdoors more. Tulips are my spring flower of choice. They remind me of the season and there are so many colors to choose from.

Hi Beach Loop! Nice to meet you. Yes Spring on the coast is gorgeous. I too love tulips & daffodils. However I’m so excited that I can grow beautiful hydrangeas. I’ve always loved them & wasn’t able to grow them where I lived in SoCal. It was too hot & dry where I lived. I’d love to have a garden filled With them! Maybe one day. Thanks for dropping by for a chat. Hope to see you again!

Both of your gardens here and there are delightful!

Hi Jenny! Thank you. The one in SoCal was much more work & I must say I’m lucky to have the ocean here on the coast as my water garden. ❤️
