The Making of a Home

“Home…a gathering place for family to join together in laughter. The one place you will always be surrounded by those who love you. A place or feeling of belonging.”

Sporting my wonderful thrift find…red/white checkered top💕

Hello, sweet friend…

I am just returning from the premier of Downton Abbey any chance you too went to see it?

A binder left by the Norris Family to the previous owners…now given to the current owners…
Joe & I💕

Instructions on care of the Home💕
Discovering past stories left by previous owners…
Note left for previous owners…then to us💕

Blueprints left for previous owners…then left to us💕
Vintage glass light cover found in cupboard…

I’m now reflecting on the question:

Upstairs retreat area…

“What makes a house a Home?”

I’m liking the wicker furniture in the living room area💕

In many ways…

Upstairs bedroom window…

homes embody how we live and see ourselves…

spaces which evolve

Pops of color always make me happy…

when we focus on what makes us happy…

When my surroundings sing to me…my heart is happy💕

and then creating a place of comfort…

Creating a cozy home💕

enriching our lives in the process.

Pillow given to me by shop owner of Sweet Peas…as housewarming gift💕

Home is a feeling.

Without love it is just a house.

Thank you so much for the pics ! How special it is to have the History of your home from previous owners ! It’s looking great with your touch ! I really love the details on the hardwood floors—-glad they’re not totally covered.
