Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea. I’m so happy to see you today my friend.

Shall we have a little tea.

Well,  I had seriously thought that today’s post would be about my recent stay at The McCall house in Ashland, Oregon.

I’m sure you’d like to read about the fun things I did there. Then, I thought no I should write the story about my new MacKenzie~Childs Tea kettle.

That’s a special story. So, many interesting things happen in my life each week (grin) that sometimes it’s difficult to decide which story(ies) to share.  No doubt I will share both of the aforementioned at some point. No doubt at all.

However, since it’s March and I noticed that I have a few more “likes” on my FB page, and also picked up another follower (big smile) I thought I’d re-introduce myself.

About Me

And, this is when I remembered the first time I wrote a post telling you about “Me”. And, that memory is what led to this post. (hope I haven’t confused you too much.) Since back then my husband Joe took all the photos of me. I guess you might say he was what’s now termed as an “Instagram Husband.” Who knows maybe he started the trend. Ya never know.

The term refers to describe any person thrust into the role of photographer for the sake of their loved one who is obsessed with pictures.

And, no doubt still am back then I just might have been a little photo obsessed. J.u.s.t.a.l.i.t.t.l.e.

At the time we still lived in California, and he was driving over an hour to work. And, in all honesty I was probably driving him crazier than his drive.

20160302_120129_2-1

There were many times that as soon as he drove up the driveway I’d run outside and ask him to take a few hundred photos of for me.

I was desperate to have photos taken, and since he was the only one I felt safe enough to ask…he was instantly hired! Insta~gram husband!

All I have to say is it’s a gooooood thing that I’m not sooooooo obsessed anymore.

Yep. ..a v.e.r.y good thing. (wink)

Happy March!

Hi Marcia, fun reading your posts. I took the easy way out and invited my friends for High Tea at the Mission Inn to help me celebrate my birthday. Imagine they all said, “Yes!”

Hi Monica! So happy to see you on this beautiful day. Congratulations on taking the easy, and SMART way to do tea. I am sure your friends loved it. I’ve enjoyed tea at the Mission Inn several times. Lovely. I also had my beautiful wedding there. I was flattered that you thought of me when hosting your party. Look forward to seeing you again. Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

With your talk of Teas I have been LONGING to have one here. Alas…there is SO much construction on this street that it would not be enjoyable (nor would there be parking!) for my guests. Guess it will simply have to wait until this development is completed. In the meantime I am starting to work my flower beds. ;0)

Hi Jenny! So nice to see you. If you read Monica’s comment you might also check out a Tea room where you live. Often it beats having to plan everything. And, then when the construction shows down you can plan to host one of your own. Who knows maybe you’ll decide on a garden tea to show off your lovely garden. ♡ Can’t wait to hear what you decide. Hope you had a fabulous time in California. ♡
