HaPpY JaNuArY!…InSpIrInG StoRiEs…♡

Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage. I’m so happy to see you today my friend. Shall we have a little tea.

Happppppppy New Year! I hope your 2015 is off to a great start.

Oh! Oh! Oh! and. …Congratulations to Tonya Proctor for being the unofficial, official Marcia’s Cottage random winner! Thank you Tonya, for liking, and sharing my Marcia’s Cottage page.

Well, so far my year is going strong… (grin)

and, I have so much to talk about today, so excuse me if I starttalkingreallyreallyREALLYquickly!

First of all I just l.O.V.E.D that the theme for the Rose Parade for 2015 was “Inspiring Stories” because I lOVE to be INSPIRED by words, people, ideas, movies, books, stories, themes…etc. and of course I hope to inspire.https://marciascottagebythesea.com/2014/12/the-best-of-2014joy_31/

And, I guess I  should also make it official that my “word” for this year is “adventure” It seems very apropos because ever since mid-summer of 20l4, when my husband and I decided it’s time for a change,

and began making plans for moving out of my beloved southern California...https://marciascottagebythesea.com/2014/11/goodbyehello/

everything has become an adventure! (giggle) So “adventure” it is! What about you? Have you thought of a “word” or perhaps “mantra” for the year…A few of my dear readers have shared their’s with me…”Peace”, “Creativity”, “Joy”, “Inspire”, “Travel”,

“Embrace”, “Patience”, “Tranquility”,  “Adventure”. There are little hearts by the words that represent others with the same word. Oh, and if you are new to Marcia’s Cottage then make sure you go to my Marcia’s Cottage page, and like it you might need to catch up here…https://marciascottagebythesea.com/2013/12/joy-is-my-highest-propose/I’m not at all against making New Years goals/resolutions. However, for me it seems that when I focus on a word…somehow I’m more conscious of whatever I’m trying to accomplish.

So, anyway this first week has been fun, work, and exciting.

Both my husband and I had birthdays at the end of December.

and decided to celebrate them in Santa Barbara. (Fun!)

where I did a tiny bit of  shopping, (teeny, teeny, tiny, bit)

and got to eat our favorite food at one of my favorite places.

It was perfect.

Later, I donated the rest of my holiday decor…(work) and it felt really good to get rid of everything. Minimalist City here I come!

I’m also looking forward to a tea that I’m getting ready to host later in the week.

It’s my first tea for 2015, and I’m calling it an “Angels in my life” tea. Ohhhhhhhh, I’m so excited! Anyway, getting back to why I loved the theme for the Rose Parade (sorry, I am all over the page today) is that we ALL have times in life when things are challenging. https://marciascottagebythesea.com/2015/03/what-inspires-you/However, what I have found is that when I go through them…(with the help of friends/family of course) then I am stronger, more compassionate, and always most grateful to have survived it all.. which of course brings me back to my word for 2015…
