This is a re~post from July 2014. Our oldest furry child had celebrated her 16th birthday. We said good~bye to her over the weekend, and know that the love she was given…was nothing compared to the love she gave.
It’s absolutely incredible to think it was 16 years ago I brought my oldest daughter Teah home.
I had been on a waiting list for another dog. And, then on one amazing Saturday I paid a visit to a pet shop. That is when I saw “Lady” Teah. Well… the rest is history. As, the saying goes, “She had me at the first Hello”. Every child pet has their own story. Teah’s story is one of LOVE, and GRATITUDE. With Teah I became a mom for the first time. And of course, my heart has never been the same. (Of course.)
Teah, was also “my” first real pet. Excuse me, for getting a little teary eyed thinking of all the ways this little creature showed me love, gave me comfort, and made me laugh. I will be forever grateful. I’ve been so fortunate to share her life. Well anyway, there’s been lots of excitement this last week, for this momentous occasion.
