Love. Be. Go.

Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ Joe and I decided to go away for Thanksgiving. So, we packed up our precious belongings and were on our way for the 3 hour drive to Ashland, Oregon. This was my first visit to Ashland. I discovered it’s an extremely arsty, fun, and creative place. The famous Shakespeare festival is held here. We stayed at The Historic McCall House. If your ever in Ashland, I highly recommend checking out this quaint Inn. The Innkeeper is Daniel, and he will help you with all accommodations. The Inn has a no pet rule. However, the carriage house does allow pets. And,  since we were bringing Earl, and Cami… Daniel made sure to book that room for us. How was your Thanksgiving? Wherever, and whomever you celebrated … Continue reading

“Give Us This Day…”

Have you ever done that before? Real bread baking is an art, and can be therapeutic as well. Kneading the dough is similar to … Continue reading

A Home~Made Home

Hi there! I hope you had a great weekend. Thought I’d pop in early this morning for a chat. Being that now I’m retired, all my days sort of kind of “feel” like Saturday. Joe realized that he isn’t quite ready for the retirement thing yet. So, he’s working here and there. Anyway, as you must know I LOVE the home, and creating  a HOME. This recent move to the Oregon Coast has had it’s challenges for sure. One that I want to share is the importance of having a special meal time. So, I’ve started preparing a Sunday dinner. Do you have a day where you prepare a special meal? Sunday seems to work for us right now. Sometimes it’s Brunch. The point is to take time to enjoy your nest, with good food…and of course those you love. Friends, family. Perhaps just YOU! Sunday Menu: CoHo Salmon Mashed … Continue reading

I love nature!

It’s Saturday morning.  My husband brought a fresh cup of coffee into our bedroom which is located in the back part of our cottage.  He said he thought it looked like a beautiful morning sunrise, and that perhaps we could go to the jetty.  I said “sure! ” Here’s a few photos I popped out.  Enjoy!

Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea.   (Woof!) This is a bakery on Nantucket. Well thank goodness!  On my end it’s (Woof!Woof!) a little crazy making. Our furry kids are still letting me know that they were NOT happy about my leaving them for a recent East Coast excursion. (Bark! Bark!) … Continue reading
