Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage by the Sea. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ Well,  this first week has been fun, challenging, surprising and wonderful. It’s been fun because everything is new.  And, I’m realizing that trying something new, can be exciting, and a very good thing. With that being said I’m super glad that we made this move before we got any older when we did. (grin) Because it takes a willingness to begin again. And, trust me there are so many things to re-learn again. Some are rather simple, like where the light switches are. Well, on second thought that is rather tricky too. (grin) Since most of our beach cottage was built in 1946. In the back part of cottage,  a bedroom has been added on. Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡   Hope you had a great week. Anything fun planned for the weekend? Personally, after this week. ..I’m ready for a l.o.n.g vacation! (grin) It’s pretty amazing to think that it was only one week ago that my husband and I were saying our good-byes to our life in southern California. .. so we could fulfill our dream of living a simpler, less hectic lifestyle, and moving into our small cottage on the Oregon coast.  And, what’s even more amazing is we did it! The above photo was taken in October 2014. At the time, everyone was so excited about the move.  This is Darjeeling. She is the sweetest thing.  However, she did have a few reservations about this move. Especially when she found out about her accommodations. No … Continue reading

Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ I hope you had a great week. Mine flew by. So many wonderful things have happened since we last chatted.  I don’t know where to begin. .. I’ve been pondering what to chat about.  I could share so many “little” stories. For instance I could share the story about how I came across a sweet new apron. It’s a fun little story. I’m sure you’d like it.     Or I could chat about an invitation for tea at a new friends beautiful cottage home. …that would take a long time though.     Maybe you’d like to see more of  my lovely walks on the beach. ..   or perhaps the garden, where I’m trying to improve what I can,  and make it my own.   … Continue reading

I’m thinking I just might be painting…(grin)   Today marks almost 2 weeks that I’ve been living in our new little cottage on the Oregon coast.       I’ve learned a lot made some new friends         am beginning to fill a little more comfortable with my new surroundings.                               And, looking back a year ago I can now see that when I made the choice to create this new dream, it would have never happened without having courage to begin. Somehow the courage to take those first few steps requires that … Continue reading
