LeT’s Go BiRdInG…♡

Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ Happy Thursday! I’m particularly happy because Joe begins his vacation for a few weeks! Which translates to my blogger husband will be available to take lots of photos….(sort of just kidding) We actually have a few ideas for mini outdoor getaways. And, although I’m probably the last person you will ever find camping in the wild west wilderness…there are many things about nature that fascinate me. I must confess, that years ago when my husband invited me to go “birding”,  I had no idea what he was talking about. (sad, but true) However,  I am happy to say that since we’ve been married, and moved to our darling little cottage which is surrounded by birds. ..I feel that perhaps I could possibly camp out in nature sometime. Oh, … Continue reading

Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ Happy Wednesday! How’s your week going … Well, my week has been moving along rather nicely. One of these days I’m going to surprise you with a finished tour of a closet I’ve been organizing f.o.r.e.v.e.r.  I’m wondering how something so small can take so long to clean,  and organize. What do you think…I think that it takes time to know what to keep, and what to let go of. We’ll,  anyway. .. I’ve been looking forward to this day for over a month! (smile) I’m getting together with a dear friend. For a little background,  you might enjoy reading  this older post You’ve got a friend in me   This friend is very special, and dear,  because she’s a childhood friend. Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ There are certain people, places, and stories that I return to every summer…. Ones that inspire me for the season. Simple pleasures. I’m one of those ladies that loves to be inspired. How about you dear reader? How are you inspired? If you are a regular visitor to Marcia’s Cottage, you know that my garden inspires me.  So, early every morning I wander outside to our little heaven on earth and begin the usual dead heading of flowers, my roses, and weeding. Taking care to to give extra water during the warmer summer days.  And, as I do my little chores, I begin thinking about the day. What I need to do. …  desire to do… or possibly even might avoid doing. (grin) And then sometimes do some … Continue reading

Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ Happy Monday!  How was your weekend? Did you do anything magical special. … A few weeks ago I had mentioned to my husband “causally ” that one of these summers we should go to Maine.  Being that I only travel internationally (just kidding) I’ve never been there. Of course my husband had been there. Of course, because he’s been everywhere.(seriously) And,  since summertime is the perfect time for planning future fun adventures. .. I  found a lovely Inn at English Meadows,  Kennebunkport, Maine. It’s a renovated 19th  century Greek revival home in Southern Maine.   There is an adorable ice cream shop I read  about called Goose Rocks. And, the Clam Shack for lobster rolls sounded delightful.   My sweet adoring husband suggested that we “practice” going on vacation. So … Continue reading
