Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage .♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea.♡ Happy Monday!  How was your weekend? In between watching the World Cup games, and “trying” to clean out the closet in the guestroom,  then watching more soccer. ( btw very fun,  and exciting)  and,  then  trying to console my husband at our favorite Mexican restaurant when Mexico lost. Well….  in between all those goings on….I was having a great weekend! Because I’ve been so busy organizing a guest room closet,  I haven’t really decorated for the 4 th of July. (Yet) However, over the weekend I made sure to hang a little Americana. It’s sooooo very important to me to show any passerbys, or visitors my love for our BeAuTiFuL, WoNdErFuL country. After the banners were put up, our little cottage looked like it had a face.  Can you see … Continue reading

Soulful occurrences are common occurences for me. Especially, while I’m in the middle of closet overthrow. (Giggle, giggle) Which, perhaps explains why I avoided this activity for as long as possible. (Grin) btw. .. I’m wondering. .. Have you ever wanted something so badly you thought you would die,  if you didn’t have it.  pretty badly, experienced a little disappointed in not getting it….and then, got down on your knees, kissed the earth in gratitude for not getting it perhaps later relieved? Just Curious. Gentle reader, I’ve my own lessons from such humble experiences. A few years ago, during one of my antiquing sojourns, I came across … Continue reading

Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ Happy Saturday! I had a fabulous week.  I’m hoping you did too.♡ As I look back on my week,…. Much of my time was spent emptying out, sorting  through, stumbling upon, keeping,  throwing out, on my knees praying for forgiveness acquiring so much…. and then offering up my “stuff”. I felt like an excavator/archaeologist.  In case you haven’t noticed. I am in a MAJOR  transition with this long time relationship with Frenemy. (Friend/enemy)  aka…my “stuff”. I don’t know about you, but I have a difficult time getting “rid” of things. For me,  there’s an enormous amount of emotional energy tied into the process. It can be a little overwhelming in the beginning. I hear so many voices,  as what to let go of, and what to hold … Continue reading

Hello, Welcome to Marcia’s Cottage. ♡ I’m so happy to see you today my friend. ♡ Shall we have a little tea. ♡ How’s your week going? Today I’m planning on taking a few bags of items to a the Salvation Army donation center.  Then, if time permits I “might” go swimsuit shopping.  Okay,  this is sort  of funny… But I think I accidently gave mine away. Oopsie….♡     And,  for me the summer means frequenting the beach. For now… any long distance travels are on hold.  It is hard for me to leave our four furry kids. Yep,  very hard…. especially little Cami.  ♡ However, there was a time, (when we had only the two kids. .. Teah & Earl) that the SuMmEr meant…. “get the passport ready!” Two summer’s after we were married, my husband and I traveled to Argentina. The trip was a dream come true for us. … Continue reading
